| Take a look at Rule 5. A and B are obviously incorrect so ignore them. Now you have to decide if placing a lookout low and forward, or in the wheelhouse manning the radar is more appropriate. Rule 5 says to maintain lookout by sight and hearing, as well as all available means appropriate to prevailing conditions. Yes, you may station a radar operator, but that operator is not a “lookout”. The lookout will be up on the bow, freezing their ass off, listening. |
