At least one lawmaker is unsatisfied by the companys limp new commitment to racial justice. <a href=https://www.adidas-samba-adidas.es>adidas sambarose</a> Corporations have been quick to share expressions of support for the Black Lives Matter movement, U.S. Rep. Jimmy Gomez, a California Democrat, wrote in a letter to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos today. Unfortunately, too many of these gestures have been performative at best. Calling on Congress to regulate facial recognition technology is one of these gestures. Other tech giants like IBM and Microsoft have recently stated theyre permanently bowing out of the facial recognition space over concerns that the software pr <a href=https://www.adidas-samba-adidas.es>adidas samba</a> esents a high potential for abuse. Contrastingly, Amazons year-long hiatus is as much a strategy to avoid the bad optics of aiding irresponsible policing as it is an attempt to make Congress work on the companys schedule. Nor is the actual language of the hiatus as ironclad as many would like to believe. As Rep. She reports that it actually set in a world where humans hibernate, t <a href=https://www.mizunos.de>mizuno running</a> he way bears do, sleeping through the winter. Except that a handful of humans, known as Sleep Marshalls, stay awake and keep watch while every <a href=https://www.skecher.com.de>skechers hausschuhe</a> body sleeps 鈥?and the main character of the book is one of these people. And one of the people at the convention was a biologist, whom Fforde was excited to ask for more insights about the process of hibernation.
