| I think the key phrase is PORT BEAM. If it were port bow I think it could be either NW or SW, but since it is BEAM, if you draw it out it is clearly SW. |

| 270 may not be the key. What is key is that when you look abeam to port you are sighting 360 (assuming you are 90 eastbound). From that aspect you would only seen a stern light of a vessel pointed 315 (135 arc of the stern light) ... That leaves only C, SW 225 as the best answer. |
