Remember on a dredge during the day it will display TWO Black Balls on the obstruction side and two diamonds on clear side. At night you’ll see two red balls on obstruction side and two green lights on clear side. Don’t get mixed up with a vessel not under command.

The two black balls can mean either NUC during the day and also a day shape for the obstruction side of a dredge.the two red lights at night mean NUC and < than 50m
