Hello everyone! I need advice from those who work in spa and beauty salon industry. I am opening a small retreat center and am currently choosing equipment. The most difficult thing was to choose comfortable and practical couches. I want clients to be as comfortable as possible, because this directly affects their impression and desire to return. I looked at different models: from simple to electric, with adjustable angles and mattress thickness. But I don’t understand what to pay attention to: material, stability, convenience for the master or design? Share your experience, what is really important when choosing?

Hello! Excellent question, you are doing the right thing by paying attention to the couch. Not only the client’s comfort depends on it, but also the convenience of the master’s work. Now the so-called “beauty beds” are popular - they are specially created for spa and beauty treatments. The main thing is softness, adjustable height and stability of the structure. Also pay attention to the thickness and density of the mattress, because clients spend an hour or more on the couch. In 2025, the trend is ecology and comfort: many take models with memory foam and anatomical curves. I recently ordered equipment for the salon and I can advise you to look at the range here: https://www.dirstore.co.uk/ - they have different options with heating functions, adjustable angles and even built-in storage spaces. The price is higher than for regular couches, but customers are very happy, and this is important for returns and recommendations.

An interesting topic, I also thought about this recently. I agree that a lot depends on the couch. I saw that now many salons are switching to more technologically advanced models, with heating and adjustable angles. But I think you don't always need to chase new products - sometimes a simple but high-quality model can be more reliable. It is also important to consider the size of the room: if the space is small, it is better to choose a compact option. In any case, I think it's worth trying to lie on the couch yourself before buying it to see how comfortable it is.
