What is indicated by gradual blackening at the ends of component "4" shown in figures "B" and "C" of the illustration? Illustration EL-0081
A) The circuit current is too high.
B) The tube is nearing the end of its useful life.
C) The circuit voltage is too high.
D) The unit is in danger of exploding.

Component "4" is not the part! C would be represented as 3.
