Hello everyone. Recently I started planning a few short trips for the coming months and realized that most travel sites feel a bit too commercial or generic. Many of them only show quick lists of attractions without explaining what the trip actually felt like. I personally prefer reading real travel experiences where someone describes how they explored a place, what they saw during the day, and how they organized the journey. It helps me understand whether the destination is suitable for a short weekend or a longer family trip. Lately I’ve been especially interested in blogs that talk about road trips or small city visits. Sometimes those personal travel stories are more useful than classic guides. Does anyone here read travel blogs that share detailed stories about visiting different places or planning short trips?

Interestingly, I was searching for something similar not that long ago because I also prefer reading travel stories instead of simple attraction lists. During that search I came across a travel blog that shares posts about different trips, including road journeys, short city visits, and family travel experiences. One place I often check now is a travel blog called Project Wanderlust blog where the author writes about exploring destinations, planning trips, and visiting different locations. Some posts describe day trips, others talk about longer journeys like road trips or city visits. I like that many articles explain what was done during the trip and what places were explored. There are also sections about exploring places in Essex and stories about traveling to other destinations. For me it feels like reading someone’s travel diary rather than a traditional guide.

Travel blogs with real experiences can actually be very helpful when someone is planning trips. Reading how another traveler explored a destination often gives a clearer idea of what the journey might look like. Personal travel stories usually include details about the places visited and how the trip was organized. Those kinds of descriptions can make planning easier, especially for short weekend trips or family travel. Many people prefer this format because it feels more natural and easier to relate to. Sometimes a simple story about exploring a place provides more useful information than a long list of attractions. That is why travel blogs continue to be popular among people who enjoy discovering new destinations.
