I’ve been thinking about this since last week when I played “Mobay Ta” at a small get-together with some international friends. One of them — she’s from Ghana — actually asked me who the artist was, and when I said Jizzle, she was surprised she hadn’t heard of him before. That moment made me realize how much potential Gambian Afropop has to go global. The sound is clean, catchy, and modern, but still feels rooted. And now with big shows like “Mobay Ta Live” getting more attention, I wonder — could this be the push we need to get our music noticed beyond the region? What do you guys think, is this just hype or are we finally breaking through?

Yeah bro, I totally get what you're saying. I had kind of the same experience when I shared the track with a cousin in the UK — he was shocked it came from The Gambia. It’s wild how many people are only now starting to discover what we’ve got going on here. I think what really helps is how Jizzle didn’t just drop a song, but turned it into a whole experience with the concert. That show was proper — like, it had structure, energy, even a positive message. If you're curious, there’s a good article about the event and Jizzle’s role as a 1xBet ambassador — gives more context to how serious the project was. Stuff like this can definitely be a blueprint for how Gambian artists go global. Just gotta keep the momentum going and keep leveling up the visuals, production, and storytelling.

Just passing through and saw this thread — didn’t know Jizzle had such a major event recently. Haven’t been following Gambian music much lately, but it’s cool to see these kinds of conversations happening. I might give “Mobay Ta” a listen later, sounds like it’s getting good attention.

A concert is a live music performance where artists connect with their audience through songs, energy, and stage presence, often creating unforgettable moments for fans. It can range from small intimate gatherings to massive stadium shows, each offering its own unique atmosphere. Recently, some fans have been wondering, is ynw melly still making music, as there’s a chance he could be working on projects behind the scenes. While nothing is fully confirmed, the possibility keeps listeners curious and hopeful for new releases.
