Lately, I’ve been feeling like gaming is taking up way too much of my free time, and it’s not even as enjoyable as it used to be. A couple of weeks ago, I spent an entire Saturday bouncing between games, trying to find something satisfying to play, but it just felt... exhausting. I wasn’t even having fun, just going through the motions. That’s when I started thinking, maybe it’s not about playing more but playing smarter? Have any of you tried cutting back or changing the way you game to make it more fulfilling?

Oh, I know what you mean! I’ve been there too. A while back, I found myself chasing daily rewards in a bunch of games, and it felt like a second job rather than a hobby. I finally decided to clean up my gaming habits—uninstalled some games, turned off notifications, and now I only play one or two titles I genuinely enjoy.

If you’re looking for ideas, I came across a really insightful post here:https://www.letsdiskuss.com/post/digital-minimalism-in-gaming-applications
. It talks about how both developers and players can focus on more meaningful gaming experiences. One tip I tried from it was setting specific times for gaming, like an hour in the evening. It’s amazing how much better it feels to game with intention instead of just filling the time.

You know, this is such an interesting topic! I’m not a heavy gamer, but I’ve always been curious about how people manage their screen time. It’s cool to see that even in gaming, there’s a push towards minimalism and intentionality. Makes me think about how we could apply this approach to other hobbies too.
