When indicators or patterns are selected, the developer, using the hypothesis that history repeats itself, checks the selected algorithm on historical data. Such a check is also performed in order to optimize the parameters of the technical analysis indicators used. Moreover, the verification and (or) search for parameters is carried out on a segment of historical data - after optimization or verification on this segment, the operation of the algorithm is checked on the next segment. Thus, the process of creating a trading robot at one (past) time interval and launching it at a subsequent stage of work is simulated to assess its success. If the developer believes that this algorithm does not fully satisfy the efficiency conditions (such indicators as absolute profitability, profit factor or maximum drawdown of the robot serve as them), he returns to the stage of developing the algorithm itself - selecting indicators. Tools for using a trading robot It is important not only to make the right algorithm, but also to implement it correctly in the technological environment. To date, there are many different software for this. The simplest system is the use of already built-in languages ​​to implement a trading robot in a trader's trading system - QUIK or MetaTrader 5. QUIK uses the Lua language, and MetaTrader 5 uses a C-like internal language. Moreover, MetaTrader 5, unlike QUIK, also allows you to optimize the parameters of the trading system. | |
