I have been reading about AI and robotics in construction lately. Does anyone actually use this stuff on real job sites yet, or is it all just hype? I am curious if things like 3D printing or digital twins are actually saving money for small to medium firms. What is the biggest change you have seen in the industry in the last couple of years? Is it worth investing in this now?

It is definitely not just hype anymore, though some things are more practical than others. We have started using BIM and some basic AI for scheduling, and it is already helping with cost control. The industry is changing fast because of labor shortages and sustainability pressures. New tech is basically the only way to stay competitive now. I came across a great overview of these trends at https://incora.software/insights/innovation-in-construction-industry and it covers everything from IoT sensors to AR for visualization. It is pretty interesting to see how these tools are being integrated into everyday workflows. If you want to keep up with where the market is going, that is a good place to start your research.
