Why do so many teams still skip the whole UX strategy phase and jump straight into designing screens, even though it often leads to bigger problems later on? Have you noticed how this affects the final product in terms of usability and consistency?

A lot of teams jump straight into designing screens without thinking about the bigger picture, and that’s usually where UX problems begin. A good UX design strategy helps align the product goals with what users actually need. It forces you to think about research, user flows, and long-term product direction before getting lost in UI details. I recently read a breakdown that explained the strategic side of UX really clearly, especially how research and business goals connect: clay.global. It made me realize that UX strategy isn’t just a “design step” — it’s more like a roadmap that keeps the entire product experience consistent as the product evolves.
