Cholesterol is an important component because our body needs it for proper blood circulation but a high intake of it might be harmful to us because it sticks to the walls of arteries and blocks them. This may lead to a heart attack. Here we have described some preventions from high cholesterol. We have described a proper diet and some low-cholesterol foods.

So if you are facing disease due to it or if you want to prevent any of such diseases so you should include the following factors in your diet:

Eat healthy fats:
You should take in healthy fats to prevent it. Healthy fats include unsaturated fats. You should not take in more than 25% to 35% of saturated fat throughout the day. You should consume monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats. Such fats are found in vegetable oils such as olive oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, soy, and corn. It is also found in fish, nuts, and seeds.

Prevent Alcohol:
Alcohol is harmful in many ways to our bodies. It can cause overweight due to which LDL might increase which is bad cholesterol. If you don’t want to raise your LDL level so you should stop drinking alcohol.

Don’t eat foods with high cholesterol:
You should stop such foods which are responsible for raising LDL in your body. If you want to prevent it so you should take in only 200mg of it in a day. Such foods are given below:

Full-fat dairy: whole milk, butter, full-fat yogurt, cheese.
Meat: steak, beef roast, ribs, pork chops, and ground beef.
Fried foods
Baked goods and sweets.
Processed meat
Creams and butter.
Add soluble fiber to your diet:
Soluble fibers help prevent the digestive tract to absorb cholesterol. It lowers the LDL and so is beneficial for it. Some foods with highly soluble fibers are apples, brussels sprouts, oat meals, oats, bananas, kidney beans, pears, etc. You should consume 5 to 10 grams of soluble fiber.

Eat fruits and vegetables:
Eating fruits and vegetables is also helpful in it. You should include a lot of fruits and vegetables in your diet to control your cholesterol level. These fruits and vegetables also work as soluble fiber which prevents our digestive tract to absorb it. It can lower blood pressure, decrease the risk of heart attack, it also prevents many cancers.

Don’t use a lot of salt:
Salts are also very dangerous. You should not take in a lot of salt to keep yourself fit and fine. It doesn’t increase LDL however it increases the chances of heart attack and increases blood pressure. The limitation of salts can result in lowering blood pressure. You should only use 1 tablespoon in the whole day whether it is in any food or on the table.

Eat fish such as tuna:
Eating fish with omega-3 fatty acids can also help raise the HDL level. HDL is good cholesterol and it also prevents blood clots and inflammation as well as prevents heart attack.
