Stainless Steel Flange Type
There are many types of stainless steel flanges currently in use, but the basic types can be divided into three types: integral stainless steel flanges, looper stainless steel flanges and arbitrary stainless steel flanges.

Stainles s steel flanges such as integral stainless steel flanges usually have a tapered neck, so they are also called long neck stainless steel flanges or pre-stainless steel flanges. Integral stainless steel flanges are often integrated with the vessel or pipe.

The stainless steel flange is only loosely sleeved on the flange or flanging soil, so it is also called free stainless steel flange. The looper stainless steel flange is not directly connected to the container or nozzle. This connection method does not achieve the same strength as a monolithic connection. Looper stainless steel flanges are used in many occasions with small sizes.

In order to save stainless steel for non-ferrous metals (such as aluminum, boring, etc.) 10 metals (plastic, inner porcelain) that are not suitable for the use of integral stainless steel flanges, looper stainless steel flanges are widely used.

The inner circle of the stainless steel flange of any form is grooved, and it is sleeved on the simplified or other parts. Then weld the two together. Its force is between the overall stainless steel flange and the looper stainless steel flange. Generally speaking, it is more durable than the overall stainless steel flange, but stronger than the sleeve stainless steel flange.

Stainless steel flange material
So what kinds of materials are stainless steel flanges made of?

Stainless steel flanges are available in 5 materials: 316 stainless steel (CF8M), 347 stainless steel (CF8C), 304 stainless steel (CF8), 304L stainless steel (CF3), and 316L stainless steel (CF3M).

316 stainless steel flange (CF8M), corrosive or ultra-low temperature or high temperature non-corrosive application; temperature range: -268 ℃ to +649 ℃, when the temperature is above +425 ℃, the carbon content of 316 stainless steel flange should be specified 0.04% and above .

347 stainless steel flanges (CF8C) are mainly used for high temperature and corrosive applications; temperature range: -268 °C to +649 °C, if the temperature is above +540 °C, the carbon content of 316 stainless steel flanges should be specified at 0.04% and above.

304 stainless steel flange (CF8), corrosive or ultra-low temperature or high temperature non-corrosive applications; temperature range: -268 ℃ to +649 ℃, the temperature above +425 ℃ should specify the carbon content of 0.04% and above.

304L stainless steel flange (CF3), corrosive or non-corrosive applications, temperature range up to +425°C.

316L stainless steel flange (CF3M), corrosive or non-corrosive applications, temperature range up to +454°C.
