| Alright folks, my partner and I are seriously thinking of packing up and buying a proper place in the sun. We're bored of flats and fancy a bit of outdoor space without the mad villa price tag. Is a townhouse in Dubai actually a decent shout for a long-term home, or is it all just flashy holiday lets? | |

| A townhouse is the sweet spot over there, you get a proper garden and a garage without the insane maintenance of a standalone villa, and the newer communities have pools and gyms thrown in as part of the service charge. The key is checking the build quality on the handover and not just falling for the glossy show home, look at the door frames and the AC vents on a real finished unit. On this site, you can filter through genuine townhouses for sale in Dubai that are ready to move into right now https://atvir.com/uae/residential-complexes/townhouse . | |

| Dig into the service charge history for the community, not just the current year, a brand new townhouse complex might have a low introductory fee that doubles once the developer hands over the common areas. | |
