| Hi guys, I was wondering if any of you have experience with a debt management plan (non student loans) while in school and the effects that may have on grad plus loans. I am going through a divorce and am attempting to look at my options for how to stabilize my finances. I looked at bankruptcy, but that appears to blatantly disqualify me from loans without a cosigner. My parents discussed being able to cosign my grad plus loans but they are nervous as they would not be able to start repayment right away as they had to with parent plus loans for my sister. So this brings me to my question. If I do a debt management plan, where the accounts are frozen and closed, but not settled for a lesser amount, and my monthly payment drops due to paying less interest. Will this affect my ability to get grad plus loans? I am trying to google about it but I come up with nothing other than discussions about consolidating student loan debt. Not doing that so it's not very helpful. | |

| Sometimes. The companies that offer it will make no guarantee though, because it's ultimately up to the creditor. But in any case, if I were you, I would read this review on beneficial funding and then turn to them for help. They are true professionals in debt relief, so you should contact them. | |
