Casino https://skycrown-slots.com/ metaphors of sudden loss or gain are rooted in older traditions where the wind’s voice was heard as prophecy. In Norse sagas, eerie gusts announced wars. In Slavic folklore, a whistling wind at night foretold death. A 2018 Balkan ethnographic survey found that 33% of respondents still believed in wind as a messenger of fate. Psychologists explain the persistence: the howling of wind triggers fear responses, turning natural noise into perceived signals. Even today, casino or slots slang speaks of “the wind turning” when fortune changes abruptly. Modern culture keeps the motif alive. TikTok’s hashtag #WindOmen has millions of views, with users filming storms captioned “a warning from above.” A Reddit story in 2021 described a family who claimed every tragedy was preceded by strong winds around their home, attracting 25,000 comments. Literature also reflects the symbol: Shakespeare often used storm winds to mark fate’s arrival, while Russian poets turned their cries into metaphors of death and sorrow. Experts argue that wind endures as a symbol of destiny because it is invisible yet unstoppable — a force beyond control, whispering or screaming the truths humans fear to hear. |

The answer to this question is wrong. a vessel restricted in its ability to maneuver when making way sounds the lame duck signal, one prolonged, two short, on its whistle. four short blasts are sounded by pilots, it's to identify their vessel. depending on the nature of the work the vessel is conducting, even at anchor it'll sound the lame duck signal. |

MONADYNE is correct. Four short blasts is only mentioned in the rules to identify Pilot vessel. This question is misleading & poorly written, should be removed. |

Regardless of the "only mention" cannot a restricted visibility vessel sound the danger signal; cannot any vessel anytime necessary sound the danger signal? |

Sailorstu, according to Rule 35 (k): (k) A pilot vessel when engaged on pilotage duty may, in addition to the signals prescribed in Rule 35(a), (b) or (g), sound an identity signal consisting of four short blasts. That does not state that it's for inland signaling only, and is the only mention in the Navigation Rules that mentions "four short blasts." |
