| Hi, I am attempting to upgrade my OUPV to a 25 ton Masters with a commercial assistance towing endorsement. I have already submitted all of my paperwork and sea service forms and thankfully I have just received the notice below: "Your application for this credential was approved for applicant testing on July 11, 2014. Prior to issuance you will be required to pass the following examinations: DECK GENERAL (70%), and DECK GENERAL + DECK SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (70%). You will receive a letter from the National Maritime Center detailing the exam procedures." Also I would like to thoroughly read whatever books or manuals the coast guard makes available in addition to taking practice tests. Does anyone know which publicly available resources I should get and focus on to prepare? TIA, John |
