| I am being accused of some financial irregularities in my old job. It is not like I killed someone, so will they really go through the trouble of extradition? It seems like a lot of work for a non-violent crime. Should I be worried about an arrest warrant? | |

| Don't be fooled - countries are very aggressive about white-collar crime these days, especially money laundering or large-scale fraud. They will absolutely spend the money to bring you back. You can find more info on this on the website extraditionlawyers.net and how to prepare. Financial crimes are often easier for them to "prove" on paper for an extradition request. If the amount of money is significant, they won't just let it go. You should check the treaty between the two countries to see the "threshold" for extradition. Usually, if the potential sentence is more than a year, it is eligible. Start looking for a lawyer now to see if you can settle the matter before it reaches the Interpol stage. | |
